FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
A few answers to help you feel more comfortable before your first session.
Absolutely. Sessions are designed to meet you where you are, providing a calm and supportive introduction to movement without the pressure of keeping up with a group class.
You're not alone. Many people feel unsure about trying something new, especially in a studio or gym environment. My sessions are designed to help you feel comfortable, supported, and confident from the very beginning, with the freedom to learn and move at your own pace.
If you experience anxiety or feel particularly nervous about starting, you're more than welcome to arrange a time to visit the studio before your first session. This can help you become familiar with the space, equipment, and environment beforehand, making your first appointment feel a little more comfortable and predictable.
Your comfort matters. Sessions are conducted in a calm, private environment without the noise, crowds, bright lights, or fast-paced atmosphere that can sometimes be associated with larger studios or gyms. Please share any sensory preferences, sensitivities, triggers, or accommodations that may help you feel more comfortable during your session. Stimming, movement breaks, the use of comfort items, or other self-regulation strategies are always welcome.
We'll work together to create an environment that feels as comfortable and supportive as possible. If you feel additional breaks may be needed throughout your session, please let me know prior to booking so adequate time can be allowed within the schedule.
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Grip socks are recommended for reformer sessions, and water is always encouraged.
Pilates can often be adapted to suit a wide range of needs. Please let me know about any injuries, medical conditions, or concerns before your session so we can determine the most appropriate approach for you.
Absolutely. While the introductory packages are designed to help you build confidence and familiarity with Reformer Pilates, many clients choose to continue with ongoing private sessions. This allows for a more personalised approach, ongoing support, and sessions tailored to your individual goals, needs, and movement journey.
